My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Utah
My husband and I are getting a divorce, there are a lot of issues that we have to figure out before anything can be filed, including money. We have a 6 month old daughter together, up until I left him he had no interest in being a father to her but he has decided that he does and that he is going to fight me for joint custody rights. A couple things to note, he is a sex offender and there is a potential rape charge that may go through. He has also decided that he is going to move back to North Carolina. Based on these details what are his chances that he will be able to get custody rights? He seems pretty confident that he is going to get more than I am willing to give him which is supervised visitation. I am just really scared and would like some advice on what to do or expect in this, of course if the charge goes through it'll obviously change things but he also seems pretty confident that he will get away with that too.
