My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
My girlfriend got a ticket in her mail from Culver City under her name on March 17th but it showed my face on it. She then filled out the affidavit to change it under my name. After that, I went straight to Santa Monica courthouse to deliver it and they gave me a copy of the affidavit. I recently received the ticket but I was reading all over the web and it says that I can ignore the ticket because they can't verify if I received it or not. The thing though is I don't know if my case would fit that criteria since she went through the whole procedure of filling out the affidavit and me going straight to the courthouse to deliver it. Would like to receive an opinion of what I could do in this situation.
Thanks
