Eviction Process: How Do I Evict My Long Term Roommate Without a Lease Agreement I Own the Home

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Texas

I have had a roommate/good friend that has lived with me for at least three years. For more than half of that time, she has remained unemployed and has not paid rent or contributed in any meaningful way. Basically, I can't afford her anymore. We recently had a pretty nasty altercation and she indicated to me that she was invoking her legal rights and not leaving. She further indicated she would make my life "a living hell," in the meantime.
Of course, I'm livid, but at the same time, I want to try to sever this living situation as amicably and efficiently as possible.
I own the residence (in full, no mortgage), so that is not an issue. Getting her to leave, unfortunately, is a huge issue.
She has made threats of retaliation if I force her to leave as well. However, I am very reluctant to turn this into a police matter. I just want to make this transition as smooth as possible, if that is possible at all.

Where do my legal rights begin and how do I initiate those rights?
What are her rights and where do they end?

I know that I cannot legally remove her items from the home, but can I speed the issue along my packing her stuff up? I also don't want her leaving with items that don't belong to her which is another concern.
I am hoping that things will cool down in days head and she will just decide to leave, but realistically, I just don't know if that will happen.
Any experience or suggestion, preferably in a step-by-step format, would be extremely helpful.
Thank you and advance,
DA
