My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Missouri back in 2004 our parents had a legal document written up and given to us their children called a quit claim deed, it is for the home and property they have lived on since 2001 until present, our parents health is getting bad and they are getting unable to take care of all the property and so forth, and are wanting to relocate to a small place.my dad is under the impression that because of the quit claim deed all of the property is ours and he and my mother will live off of their retirement income which is a good sum. as the children on the quit claim deed will we be the ones selling and collecting the funds from the property and house?
