Probate Court Procedure: I Was Joint Tenant in Common with My Father- He Passed Away with a Will

My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: SC
My step mother has yet to show me a will but in the mean time she claims to have taken the will to the court house to have it probated. I was 50/50 in a home and land with my father. Joint tenants in common. He left a will and gave his 50 to a minor, grandchild of his wife. (step grand child) Now, alot has taken place and I am wanting any advice on what my legal options are. I may want to them to buy me out but they have no money but I do think they could get a mortage with the guardian of this child, using the 50 percent. Can I charge rent as the widow, lives there with her daughter, son in law and 3 kids. Its really a confusing mess. These people have mooched off my father for over 30 years and down sucked money out of people. I want out of this, what are my options?? Can I do a force buy out with a minor-- how do I go about that. Any and all options would be appreciated.
