My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Massachusetts
So I have a long list of problems with one of my neighbors (I live in a 6 apartment house) and have made my landlord aware of the problems. The neighbor I am having trouble with was recently caught stealing mail and once again my landlord was made aware. I am wondering if due to the fact that there is proof of theft and reason for me to be fearful of my safety going in and out of my own apartment, is my landlord responsible to take action to have the person evicted? I am so uncomfortable with this neighbor that I keep all my windows and doors locked 24/7 and am terrified to leave my home because I fear being attacked by my neighbor or having my home broken into.
