My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: TX. I got a ticket this morning for "passing in a school zone". The speed limit was 20. I was driving slightly behind a car in the right lane. They hit their brakes in response to what I'm assuming was seeing a parked police officer. This caused me to "pass" the car. Also the police officer was unaware of the actual speed limit and said it was 15, if that counts for anything. I definitely don't feel like I did anything wrong but should I just pay this ticket or is there any chance that I could appeal it. It's $210 so ya, I'd rather avoid that. First ticket on my record (11 years).
