Adoption of Children: Obtaining Guardianship Over My Stepdaughter

My question involves adoption law for the State of: Oklahoma

My husband and I have recently learned that my stepdaughter's mother was arrested on several felony charges. My husband is the custodial parent and the mother has visitation every other weekend. I am concerned for my stepdaughter's well being and the effect all of this has had on her mentally and emotionally, she is 6 yeas old. I am wondering if there is any way I may be able to file for guardianship over her and/or adopt her due to the circumstances so that I am able to have some kind of parental rights to her so she does not fall victim to the system like she did last year. The court awarded the mother makeup visitation after my husband and I kept her due to uninhabitable circumstances at her mother's home. We were concerned for her health after seeing her mother's home. We filed for DHS to inspect the home and withheld her until we got their report back. Because she had cleaned the house she was granted makeup visitation of 6 weeks due to their summer schedule at the time whi checking was 2 week blocks, in which time her mother's brother (my stepdaughter uncle) molested her. In January they finally made it back to court to decrease the mothers visitation to only every other weekend and no contact with the uncle because she had previously been having to go over there on Wednesday nights and it was effecting her school and routine during the week as well as the other matier of her being molested. My husband was granted his motion and her visitation is now limited to everyother weekendand no contact with the uncle. Since then, the mother was arrested and is now facing felony charges, however, she has been released on bond. My concern is IF she goes to jail I have no legal rights, that I know of, to my stepdaughter, unless these charges deem her to be unfit. Or, if she doesn't go to jail given her charges, my husband and I are concerned for our daughters well being and having to go back to her mother's for visitation and being around her negative influance. I have a great relationship with my stepdaughter and have lived with her and help provide for her for over a year, and I've never heard her ask her dad to even go to her moms, it's usually a fight and she doesn't want to go. Is there anything I can do to get guardianship (since my husband already has custody) given the current circumstances with her mother?
