My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: WA
I was initially denied due to poor work performance. My employer submitted over 20 pages of documents and all I did was answer some questions when the hearing officer called and filled out the initial unemployment claim. I never submitted any documents because I was told the employer has the burden of proof and it wasn't necessary. I requested a copy of everything he submitted and now I'm ready to refute the documents and provide my own evidence. My question is should I focus on testimony and documents that my boss has a history of lying and manipulating other employees which questions his character and motives or should I focus on the fact that I was never written up and my workload increased substantially while my hours were reduced but I was expected to do more. I feel I was discriminated against because I was the highest paid employee in a marginally profitable company. I also have documents that prove he removed me from payroll hours before firing me but said one of the reasons I was fired because I couldn't provide a reasonable answer to unfinished work. The truth is I never had a chance, he was going to fire me regardless.
Should i submit 40 pages of documents covering the history and every single detail, testimony and evidence I can find that questions his motives and credibility or should I just stick to the events that happened that day?
