My question involves child support in the State of: Ohio
My sons ex girlfriend had a baby and allowed my son and the new boyfriend to believe it was the new boyfriends baby (for four years). When she left the new boyfriend he filed for visitation thinking he was the father. The courts allowed him temporary visitation. She spoke up in court and told them the child was not his. Paternity was ordered showing he was NOT the father and visitation was abruptly stopped. The courts then tested my son establishing he IS the father.
My son is now facing a child support hearing (child is now 4.5 years old)-- will the courts make him pay 4.5 years back support or will they go from date of paternity forward?
She lied all along, and the child was taken care of, if anybody deserves any back support, it would be the new boyfriend who supported this child whom he learned wasn't even his for 4+ years.
