I'm registered as a sex offender, and I just moved into a house, where my roommate owns the house. The detectives downtown said I need to bring a "letter of approval" from my roommate, to say that I could live here.
However, looking at the laws here in Missouri, I don't see how that's a requirement, at all. I'm not on probation or parole anymore, which did require a letter of approval.
Any idea where they're getting that from? Are they just making stuff up, or are they so used to dealing with parolees/probation, that they are getting mixed up?
