My question involves business law in the state of: California.
Hi,
For roughly the past year I have been working a contract job (consultant agreement) for a startup company. Just a few months ago, the company gave me some shares of the company. They were backdated, so I'm already vested. I was recently told that they cannot extend my contract any longer. If I wanted to, could I sell my shares back to the owners of the company? I need the money, and don't see much future value in the options.
Thanks.
