My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California, Ventura.
My wife received a red light camera violation in the mail. I was the person driving her car which is not registered to me. She was in the passenger seat and they blacked out her face.
Can she use the "It wasn't me" defense and force the prosecution/whomever appropriate to hunt down the actual driver (me)? And then would it be dismissed for her?
I won't want to wax poetic about how I shouldn't be responsible, etc... It happened and was a complete accident in an unfamiliar, confusing downtown area. $500 is quite a bit of money. But since our justice system allows us to contest these issues, I want to explore the possibilities.
Recently I successfully won a TBWD on a speeding violation. How does TBWD work for the red light camera?
