Speeding Tickets: Ca, Citing Officer Was Blocks Away from Radar, Wrong Address, Etc. Any Chance of Win

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

Hi everyone,

Great forum, and thanks to all the experts who help!

I received a traffic ticket driving in San Francisco. I was driving on a 5 lane, one direction road. Let's call it George St.

Officer 1 with a radar gun clocked me going 42 in a 25, then radioed ahead to an officer blocks away (and up a hill) who pulled me over. Officer 2 cited me and told me to contest it, but that he had to give me a ticket because Officer 1 (radar guy) was his sergeant.

Things I am wondering about:

1. I was never provided proof of the radar read and the citing officer never saw the radar gun reading either, was just going off the radio info from the other guy.

2. He wrote "Clementine St, at George St." as the citation location. I never drove on Clementine St, I was driving on George St.

3. Citation says the car I was driving was registered to "Mr and Mr So and So, 3344 Broadway Ave", which is NOT what the car registration says. This is my old street address from my license, and this car was never registered at that address. I notified the DMV of our address change, but in CA they don't issue you new licenses.

Anything worth trying to fight here or should I just pay it and do traffic school? There's no posted speed limit on the street, conditions were dry and clear, etc. but I know those aren't good defenses in CA from reading here. :)

Thank you!!!
