My question involves criminal law for the state of: Iowa
A girl randomly added me on snapchat and began a conversation with me. She said that she had gotten my snapchat user name from a friend who found it on my twitter account. She seemed completely normal until she started making some sexually suggestive remarks. I asked her how old she was and she said that she was an 18 year old from a town near me. During this entire conversation, we had only been direct messaging on snapchat and no photos had been shared. I asked her to send me a picture of herself so that she could prove it wasn't one of my friends messing with me. She then sent me a nude photo with the caption "did you mean like this?" I immediately asked again if she was 18 and she promised that was and began telling me about her college search and other things to convince me that she was of age. I eventually believed her and we exchanged a few nude photos. She reached out to me months later and asked for more nude photos but I said that I didn't want to anymore. She then told me that she lied about her age and that she is actually 17. She threatened that she would go to the police if I didn't send her more naked pictures. I refused and now she is claiming that she is going to turn me in. Do I need to contact a lawyer?
