My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Connecticut
My siblings and I are beneficiaries to Mom's Estate and it is finally starting to wrap up. We got a copy of the final accounting which includes all of the invoices charged to the Estate. There is a bill whose charges are incorrect and we are not in agreement with. We have tried to negotiate the invoice with the service provider to no avail. Obviously the Catch-22 in probate is that the person receiving the service is deceased, and the estate can not close until the bill is paid!
My question is: how to dispute it? Do we file a motion in probate court? Civil court?? Or are we sitting ducks and any bill that comes in from a vendor is automatically paid out of the Estate funds?
