My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: NJ
The car was taken to Pepboys for a random engine failure while driving; it would just quit while in motion. Pepboys performed an engine diagnostics and stated that the problem was the camshaft sensors, crankshaft sensors and valves. They did the work and promised a three months warranty. Five days after pickup from the location the timing chain broke stranding us on the Henry Hudson.
Do I have any legal recourse? If it was something else I would understand but the timing chain regulates the camshaft, crankshaft and valves from what I understand making it part of the warranty?
