My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Florida. There are several homeless persons who fly signs & panhandle on Wal-Mart property and have been banned and continue doing their activities. I don't drink or do drugs. I don't panhandle or "fly" signs. I am homeless. Yesterday I was pushing a Wal-Mart cart from Sonic drive in to go and buy some meat for dinner and was stopped by sheriff deputies who said I had committed grand larceny by having the cart (which I never took off Wal-Mart property) and that I was banned for life and if I return I will go to jail for criminal trespass. Is this legal?
