Emancipation: Can You Get Emancipated if You're in State Custody

I am 15, turning 16 next month living in the state of Connecticut. Recently, my mother turned her custody of me to the state, and my dad is in prison. I'm living away from my mother who is a neglectful and abusive alcoholic, and staying with my grandmother. At the moment I'm working on getting a job which won't be too difficult, and I'm still attending school. But next month when I become the legal age, do I have a chance of becoming emancipated or do I not qualify?
