Civil Rights Issues: Video in Public Space in Oregon Without Formal Consent but Obviously Filming

My question involves civil rights in the State of: Oregon. I was passing the home of a neighbor (and public official) with whom I have a dispute. He came out on his porch and verbally assaulted me. Halfway through I pulled out my phone. He acknowledged that I had a "camera". I held it up the entire time he was speaking so it was obvious I was recording him. I posted this on Facebook for a short period. He is now threatening to sue me. Do I have any First Amendment protection here? It was a public space with no expectation of privacy. I was on the sidewalk. And it was obvious he was being recorded. What are my chances in court? Thanks...
