Travel and Recreation: Vacation Rental Sold

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Florida. We rented a condo in the Oceans III building in Daytona Beach Shores on 3/29/16 for a 3/1-3/31/17 vacation rental. The owner (who is also a real estate broker in Orlando) charged us $4857.50 for 3 persons and insisted we pay in full due to the fact that the rental included bike week in Daytona...so we paid in full using our credit card on 3/29/16 through Homeaway.com. He also told us that the condo was nonrefundable so if we cancelled, we wouldn't get our money back. We agreed because we had no intentions of cancelling. About 2 months ago and 7 days before our rental was to begin, we received an email stating that the condo had been sold and the new owners did not want to honor the rental agreement but we could either use the condo for approximately 13 or 15 days (until the closing which he did not have a firm date yet), then find another place to continue our vacation for the rest of the month as we had planned...or he would give us a full refund. He also agreed to try and find us a place to continue our vacation but didn't follow through on this. We tried to find another rental for the rest of the month and one for the entire month for 3 also but couldn't due to the popularity of bike week in Daytona during March.
We then decided that it wouldn't be worth driving down to Daytona for a shortened vacation due to selling so we took him up on his offer and asked for a full refund. He said the refund would be routed through Homeaway.com but it never took place. He never sent a refund or refunded to our credit card. He won't answer the email we have sent asking for a date when it would be sent and will not pick up our phone calls or answer our texts to his cell phone. We are so disappointed and would like advice or direction.

Thank you.
