Breaking a Lease: Midwest, No Heat 20 Days and Counting Can I Legally Break My Lease

I live in Iowa and it is winter (some days have been highs of 15). I have been 20 days without heat in my apartment. My landlord made me aware of the problems and all correspondence have said it will be fixed in a couple days, that has now turned into 20 day with no end in sight. She said the part came in 4 days ago but I have yet to see any workers and still no heat. I am 2 months into a 6 month lease. My landlord furnishes all utilities. She has supplied me with a space heater that she enters my apartment (whole other side issue) and turns off during the day. What are my rights? Can I terminate my lease? Would that mean forfeiting my deposit? Please help!
