My ex has a protection order against him (indiana) for threatening me several times and barging in the house threatening me even in presence of children. He has not saw the children since sept 25th 2015 for 5 mins when he barged in threatening to take running vehicle because his newer one was breaking down. Other than that he saw 2 of them for 1.5 hours Sept 18 2015 when the last babg was born and others he hasn't saw since july 20 2015.
There are 7 children. He's made no contact with children or saw them in almost 17 months. He saw baby 1 hour after birth and 1 to 1.5 hours next day at hospital knew other kids were coming up but still chose to leave. Hasn't saw since really but 5 mins on Sept 18 2015. I made contact with him offering to see them and we agreed to local bowling alley Nov 2015 but he never showed. So no contact with him even regarding kids since Nov 2015 for almost 15 months now. He Did send text blaming me for my attorney postponing court due to family emergency Jan 2016 but No mention of kids. No contact since.
Behind almost 3500 in support in last 12 to 16 months. Only reason it isnt more is because outsiders find out his new jobs and let me know and I report it to the local title 4 support office and they send out verification to old job and new job and income withholding. Has had many jobs in last 20 months. Protection order States child related matters only. He can call text email or send regular mail to me or to children regarding children only. Can meet in public to even see kids again child related matters only. Keeps using that order has an excuse as to why he's made no contact but knows better. He violated it once but county didn't pursue it they wanted to see if he would do it again. Cop made him aware again in jan 2016 child related matters only and what that meant so he was fully aware.
Hr Knows home address also. No bdays or holidays mentioned to kids from him..no cards no gifts ..nothing from him at all. Was aware of parent teacher conferences coming up Oct 2015 never showed up. Kids scared of him and have made casa aware but had new volunteer who didn't know what she was doing. Can I adopt them out to step parent without his consent considering his abandonment?? Stepdad is referred to as dad kids talk highly of step dad and he is very involved in their lives In school and outside of school on a daily basis.
