My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Texas
On October 16, 2017 we purchased a car from a dealership. We paid cash the same day. The paper tags expired December 15, 2017. As of January 25, 2018, we still have not received the title. The car is still registered in another person's name. What kind of legal action can we take in order to get the title received? We have been getting the run around since mid December and last thing we were told was that they were expecting the plates to come in last week and after they receive the plates, we should receive the title in the mail the following week, which would be this week. We have not received a call or a title yet. Due to Hurricane Harvey, we had to purchase this car 3 hours away from our home to avoid going to a dealership that had previously flooded cars.
