Traffic Accidents: Accident Between a Bicyclist and a Car Turning Right on a Yellow Light

My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: MA

I was going to go on a nice hike in Wellesley, MA and I had just moved to MA. I am a pretty safe, efficient driver but I feel a lot of pressure when I drive in MA because everyone is very fast and impatient.

While driving down a road at 40mph I came to an intersection that I had never seen before and i had my right hand blinker on to go right at the light. I turn right and it turned yellow. I hadn't realized this intersection was so long or else I would have stopped at the line way back. I continued going and a bicyclist came out from the corner i couldn't seem him at first because there were trees and it was far away. He was waiting at the crosswalk to cross and I guess the light had turned to walk and it seemed like he purposefully hit my car back bumper with his bike like he was about to cross.

Why would he cross while I was finishing my right turn I don't know. But I continued and went past the second cross walk and no one was walking in those everyone had seemed to be waiting to walk. I pulled over asked the man if he was okay and he said I "hit" him. Which I had no intention of doing... but I said sorry sir can I help you? And he called the police.

So now the police are going to look at the cameras to see if i went on a red light. Would i be at fault if the light turned red while i was still turning? I didn't think it would be such a big deal since i didn't purposefully run a red light just to make it. Thank you!
