Retail Fraud / Shoplifting: Thief

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Minnesota

About a week ago, along with a friend of mine, I made the mistake of stealing $300-$400 worth of trading card packs. We used a box to hide the cards in, and we went on two separate occasions (Friday night, Saturday morning). Yesterday, I went back to the store with another friend, who has never stolen before in his life. We didn't go with the intention to steal, but the cops were called and I was brought outside. They got my information, and I confessed to stealing the cards. This may not have been the right move, but what's done is done. They didn't arrest me, and I was free to go. According to the cop, the store intends on pressing charges. He also gave me his number to leave him a message the next day. I did just that, left him a message on how terribly sorry I am and how I still have the goods that haven't been opened yet. This, also, may have been a mistake. What are my options and what should I expect?

Thanks in advance.
