My question involves insurance law for the state of: California. Long story short, I am seeing my Doc next week regarding depression that has gotten worse over the last couple of months. I want to take time off to recover, but in reading the EDD website, it seems I qualify except that I have no lost wages (I receive sick time). Does this leave me out? I'm single and although I'm ill, I still have financial obligations. Also, do past employers during my DI base period count?
