My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Texas
I spent 7 and a half hours on a deal for a new vehicle on Friday June 30. When we first began talking I told them I was approved and they confirmed that the credit union is one of their approved lenders. Once we worked up the deal, I called my banker and gave her the details, she said yes it's a good deal and she could approve it.
The catch is that her deal was based on 72 months and they said they had to do 78 and I had to use Ford motor credit to make the deal happen. Except they then ran my credit through Ford and three other companies. This whole deal they said was based on Ford getting the business but then shopped it to three other companies as well as ford motor credit while saying they wouldn't use my bank deal.
Is this legitimate? I have 5 days and 250 miles to be satisfied so I can still return on Monday but I want to know if I was Hoodwinked or is this a fair practice?
