Today I received a cease & desist email for a product I purchase from China.
The items in question are crafts beads. The party I received the email from
claims the designs are theirs and copyrighted. I do see similar beads on their web site
but I have also seen the same beads on other web sites around the Internet.
How do I know these people actually own the copyright to these beads?
They could simply being trying to eliminate competition. The amount of product I sell
is minimal and a legal battle over this issue is simply not in the cards for me.
