My question involves criminal law for the state of: New Mexico
My boyfriend and I want to adopt a grizzly bear and keep it as a pet. We have a large yard for it to do its business in and it will sleep in our bed with us, I mean it must be okay to have it in bed since they make stuffed bears for children to take to bed. This is just like an adult's teddy bear. But we're worried about liability with the neighbours in case the bear licks one of them and they get mad. Also is it even legal to own a pet grizzly? If we get a court date for having it we've been saying we'll take the bear to court to meet the judge and dress it in a tuxedo to make a good impression.
