Survivors Benefits: 17, Can I Get Them on My Own

I'm a 17 year old, who lost my mother a few years ago. I receive survival benefits, with my grandmother has my payee. I am considering moving out in the summer. i was wondering if i leave or emancipate myself would i still receive my benefits or have them transferred to me as payee since i would still being using the money in the way it was intended.
