My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California, city of San Jose.
I do not do anything related to law, therefore, if I am unclear about anything, please, let me know and I'll do my best to explain it better.
Recently, I have received a parking citation for "No Parking 1am - 6am Wednesdays Street Sweeping" in the City of San Jose, California.
The thing is that I am extremely paranoid about receiving citations (can't really afford any additional expenses right now), therefore, I always check the parking signs.
Let me do my best on explaining how I parked my vehicle and why I believe I received this citation because of error or tricks by Parking Enforcement.
I parked on the one way 10th Street, past the intersection with San Carlos. As I parked my vehicle, I got outside and checked parking signs - there was a sign for "2 hour parking 8am - 6pm" which did not apply to me because I parked there after 6 pm. Also, few meters down I noticed the mentioned above ""No Parking 1am - 6am Wednesdays Street Sweeping"" sign. Therefore, I made an assumption that my parking spot and couple more do not have this restriction on us. So, being happy about finding parking so easy, I left for work. I got off at 130 am and that is what I noticed.
I contested my citation online and submitted my explanation and photo proof, but looks like they still going to keep liable at this point.
Let me know if any of this makes sense and I hope that somebody will help me out how to deal with this further.
