My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Iowa
I work for an Apartment Management company. This last week during a manager meeting our Fair Housing officer informed all of us that there had been an excessive number of Fair Housing lawsuits filed that were costing the company a lot of money ($2,500 per claim on average). She informed all of us that going forward if any of us or our associates mis-spoke or in any way directly caused a Fair Housing lawsuit we would be personally responsible for paying for said lawsuit. Is this legal?
