My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Tennessee
Okay. This is a bit of a long story. Basically about a year ago my ex and I broke up and were living together. I moved out (I was the only one on the lease I think) she stayed up until February 2016 then did not give the apartment proper notification of her intent to move out. And also skipped out on a month of rent. Leaving me with a 1200$ collection in my name which I paid off today after hearing about it. I believe she skipped out on it out of spite. I have a picture of her saying on social media "the landlord says I can't move out until I give 2 months notice but that's not my problem". With this evidence would I have a solid case in court? Or should I just not waste my time? Thanks for any advice you can give.
