My question involves marriage law for the State of: Texas
At the begging of relationship he said that he wants to sign a prenup and it case if we get divorced he would give me certain amount of money ( 300-400k), just to make sure that I will be okay after without him. The reason he wants a prenup it's because what his mom did to his dad (I only agreed to that only to make him happy and to get what he wants) but, AFTER we got married he changed what he said, we didn't get married in the USA so prenup was impossible and now when we're back he wants to do the postnuptial.
In the postnuptial agreement he has for me EVERYTHING is separated except filling taxes together and i get nothing in case of divorce, and of top of all he wants me to work and pay all my expenses expect rent.
I'm not from the USA and don't know how things work here so well, so need a bit of advice.
So my question is? Is this a normal postnuptial that people do or not? I mean like, do women here got some offer from their husbands or everything they is splint and women don't get anything.
I make a lot less than him and i'm scared if he divorced me by his will i will get nothing and be left on the street.
He cheated a few times on me and i told him if he do it again i'll leave him. So if divorce happen I will have nothing.
I do love him but if things start to go wrong because of him, I'll be the one left on the street without house, money, ect...
Any advce would be greatly appreciated.
