My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: CA and OH
My Mother lived and died in CA. (She left everything to my Father who died 4 months later. All was left to 4 children via Trust and Will) She'd inherited a modest property in Ohio that I have lived in, worked on, cared for, and paid all expenses/taxes/insurance since 2004. The title was not put into the Trust. I have read that Probate should be filed in both States for the Ohio property ... I have 3 sisters. One is Trustee and is named Executrix in the Will, but she does not have the funds to file Probate in CA. (She lives in another State.) Can she authorize me as her agent to file Probate in Ohio?
It is my intention to keep the property, transfering or buying it with my share of the sale of the CA property which is in the Trust ...
