My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Florida.
Hello! Recently, due to a dispute between me,my boyfriend, and my mother, who all live in our apartment, and our roommates (ex best friend and her boyfriend) wanted to move out. It was us 3 against them, if that makes it more clear.
We agreed to sign them off the lease, they agreed to pay previous bills, which they didn't. We also had a cell phone plan with our ex best friend, it was in her name, we paid for the phones, and all of the bill for seven months, until we moved in together (paid from November of 2014-may 2015), after move out, she then cancelled our two lines after we already paid september's bill.
That's part of the question. What rights do I have?
The second part is that I'm almost positive that they didn't return their keys after they were signed off the lease (apartment and Mail keys) and I'm worried for my safety and safety of others in my home. What rights do I have? Can I take legal action if the keys are not returned and the mailing address isn't changed?
