My question involves restraining orders in the States of: North Carolina and New Jersey
I'm 16 and my boyfriend is 17 and we have been in a long distance relationship for 2 1/2 years. He lives in NJ and I in NC. My parents hate it and refuse to let us be together because they found sexual messages on my phone but we have never had sex and we are both of consenting ages. Can my parents legally put a Restraining or No-Contact order on him without my consent just because they don't like him? Can they get him arrested because of the messages?
