My question involves real estate located in the State of: Texas
Can the city ticket me or have me go to court over what they consider violations on a private road? see below:
I have lived on a private road for 35 years. Five years ago we were placed in the city limits, recently we have been getting summons and tickets for the follow:
Grass too tall
Cars parked on the grass (we have 6 cars and 2 boats and a driveway for 4 cars)
Burn pit which we have some metal in at this time
Been told that the boats and two will need gravel under them and need to covered.
Can we legally be cited for these things when we are on a private road that we have to maintain and there are at least 12 other houses on this road as well. We actually lived 9 miles from the city.
