Sale and Deficiency: Used Car Troubles After Purchase

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Ohio.

I purchased a used 2007 Ford Edge in September of 2016. When we test drive it the check engine light was on. They said they would fix it before we took it. So when we took it home the light was off. The next day the light was back in. The lot said there was a recall (rusted gas tank) and that they think that's what the engine light is on for. So we took it in and had that fixed. Well the check engine light was still on. Car lot refused to look at it. I paid $600 for another lot to "fix" it and when I took it home the light was off. Now after only 4 days the light is back on! No one is wanting to fix it without an addition charge.
My question is, shouldn't the car lot who sold me the car be responsible? They said they fixed it but the light came right back on once we got home.
