I read somewhere before that if the federal government not enforcing a law creates unfair competition in business that they are liable for damages well have I got a case for you I'm a commercial fisherman love over 35 years about 15 years ago fishing vessel started bringing in foreign crew. the federal government allowed this to continue even though it's in violation of the merchant Mariners Act 1920 which states that a vessel working in and out of the u.s. port has to have a u.s.crew.
Filipinos Indonesians and they have to stay on the boat for two or more years not allowed to go on land and get paid slave labor wages it has allowed a lot of big boats to move into the industry they couldn't afford to compete in our fishery before Because I obey the law and hire only us fishermen I can't compete with the other boats because I'm paying too much in labor rate the federal government has turned a blind eye to the whole thing and the big boats have gotten away with using foreign fisherman and have driven the market down where I can no longer afford to work so I have lost my business valued at over at three-quarters of a million dollars which used to earn over a million dollars a year so how do I sue the federal government for damages
