Purchased Car from Michigan Transfer Title in Ohio

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Michigan/Ohio ....I recently purchased a car from a man online private seller I noticed the Michigan title had lein info but it was signed and dated stating it was discharged. I didn't know they should have proof because I've never heard of this lein thing. So I took the car to Ohio had it inspected and ohio said the loan is discharged and Gave me a clean title with no loan. Ohio only went by the signature wrote on the title. I plated the car registered it and put insurance. I drove back to Michigan two weeks later to see friends and a repo truck pulled up stating the previous owner has a loan on this car. I should them my ohio title and they were confused telling me the lein holder had to give permission for this car to have the title transferred. Ohio approved my title legally binding and non-contestable I assume. They took the car!!! And will not give me my stuff out of it. I called ohio title company to confirm the loan was discharged. They said yes to their knowledge and the car is now titled to me a car can not have two titles. They gave the info for the loan creditor. When I called this creditor in michigan the said yes this car has a loan and it was technically not this man's car to sell. When I told them I transferred the title they said it didn't matter it's their car. I called lawyers, dmv, legal advice everyone says something different. The creditor who said I have nothing to do with the car and they couldn't help me unless I wanna go after the man.....called me back and asked me to email them a picture of the title I claimed to have in my name for ohio where I live to verify it. If they were calling something must have happened. After a while I tried to call them back to see what's up and they couldn't find the account anymore by the Vin number ...which I had used earlier to find there was a loan on the car. I'm so lost I need help what can I do...do I have any rights and can we both have a title to this car. And why did they want to verify mine. Any ideas?
