Other Injuries: What Can I Do if My Baby Was Diagnosed with Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy at Birth

What can I do if my baby was Diagnosed with Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (Oxygen Deprivation at Birth) in the state of Maryland?

I know hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) is an extremely complex diagnosis and I've been doing a lot of reading and found great sources such as the HIE Help Center, but I'd love more legal advice. When the baby was first diagnosed with HIE it was treated in time. We are now starting intensive therapy and treatment. How can I prove that the baby's injury was due to errors of a medical malpractice? Is it worth going into litigation or do the doctors usually get by without having to help provide for the child’s medical care, therapy and treatment? Any advice is appreciated.
