My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Massachusetts..
My boyfriend and his ex girlfriend have twin daughter's, who just turned 5 last month. The mother has full custody of the children and He has visitation rights from Friday to Sunday very weekend. But the past 6 months hes been taking them from Fri to Mon because the mother has no transportation. So we get them 4 days outta the week and she gets them 3 days but Currently right now we have had the children for 2 weeks now because the mother is unstable to keep a roof over her head and the kids. She doesnt work and receives Food stamps from DTA. She was living with her mother for 2 months because she left her boyfriend. While living with her mother. The mother wasnt feeding nor letting the children do anything there. Her and her mother was ALWAYS fighting and the children was telling there mother and us that they didnt wanna be at there grandmothers house so we currently have the children because she has asked us to keep them for awhile because shes basically homeless. But my question is does he have to give the kids back if she asks for them? And what can my boyfriend do to get custody of these children? She doesnt know our address or anything... She has had been involved with DCF ( Department of Children and Families ) since she was 13 years old. Shes currently 21 and hes 23 years old. We have our place been here for 2 years and live in a good neighborhood. She has had many cases of abuse and neglect with these kids. They never had there own beds or a place to call home. We just want whats best for these kids.
