My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Louisiana
my Granddaughter wants to visit in a neighboring state. She is being verbally abused and being told we no longer care about her. She is 15 and has recently contacted us and wants to live with us or her Mother. After receiving hate posts from her Father, (our Son)...all of a sudden, he says she can visit for 2 weeks. My question is: since she has been denied visitation or any contact and now she contacted us, how should I approach this so-called visit? She is on probation and is receiving counseling, (6 more months). She has run away before because of situations in the home. Since we have been contacted by her with this visitation, (by her), I have instructed her to have a "permission" by her Father in order to cross state line to be with us. Will any repercussions come about from crossing state lines?
