My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I have a few more questions and would appreciate your response. I have 4 open cases in Orlando, Fl. From what the docket reads. I hope, all 4 cases can be closed while not having to appear, but have a lawyer appear instead, as I live in a different state, as I rehabilitate. One of the cases, as stated earlier suggested "court pending, pd to locate and serve", for a charge of driving while licence suspended with knowledge. The second case suggest, a civil traffic infraction, "failed to yield while taking a l turn", sent to collections agency and paid in part, yet the case is still showing as an open case. Are there any reasons that would keep the case with an open status, especially not having paid it in full? And will it be closed when paid in full? The third case, stating "driving while licence suspended with knowledge". The docket reads "failed to appear, sent to Tallahassee, criminal suspension" with a balance due, while still showing as an open case. When I finish paying in full, will both cases be closed, or are there any other reasons as to why these cases would stay opened? In addition, FDLE, is showing an active warrant "for a stolen vehicle" in 2015. In the past year I have been working with a team of doctors, in an attempt to rehabilitate, and continue to correct myself in a different state. While living in a mental rehabilitation institution, I as informed that Florida had a extradite and transport order prior to me being released. I was released from the institution, as the state I am in, perceived the case closed, from their communication. How long would the warrant stay active, if it is to close? And I am also wondering, if still an active warrant, do you think it would be best to write the judge, and suggest the warrant be dropped, or dropped to a fine. Or if still active, transfered to the state I am living in, taking into consideration, my rehabilitation plan with a team of doctors, specifically a psychiatrist, a doctor, a case worker and a rehabilitation group home. Do you think this is a warrant I can resolve while living in a different state, in hopes that I can finish my rehabilitation plan? I appreciate your response.
