Visitors and Guests: Airbnb Host Non-Responsive to Request for Return of Item Left Behind by Airbnb Guest

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: New York

Sixteen days ago, I stayed at an Airbnb in NYC and accidentally left behind a small (7" x 3") bluetooth speaker (worth $200.00 new.) I contacted the apartment owner via Airbnb email, who acknowledged that indeed I had left the item behind. Twelve days have now passed since I followed up those emails with a phone call to the apartment owner--who said during the call that she put the item aside and would return it as soon as she went to Fed Ex, found out the shipping cost and received a money order from me for the shipping cost. I agreed.

Since that call I have made a few cordial attempts at communicating: one Airbnb email, two phone messages and one text; however, no reply from her. I understand it's the Holidays and all, but 12 days and not a single return call or a text is ridiculous. Airbnb says they have no policy as far as guests leaving items left behind. So I'm wondering what is New York's legal policy?
