My car got towed a year ago when I got pulled over and I did nothing about it..
I'm pretty sure they towed my car because I pulled over into a spot it couldn't stay but my registration was also 8 months past due so it was gonna go anyways. I only think that because when I got to the tow yard they said my car had been stored and I just had to pay whatever the fee for that was. I was expecting to have to go through the whole process of getting my car registered and stuff. (I had to do it last time it was impounded for late tags with the smog and uhg so much going back and forth:wallbang:).
Anyways, I am now trying to figure out what the damage is but I can't seem to figure out what happened or what may happen since I never paid a dime or even gave the pink slip for my car.
I did go in to get all my belongings out of the car but I did not have the money to get it out so I just never went back. I have not heard or received anything about the car since and I'm wondering if i got lucky or should be worried??? I keep reading things about the fees continuing to get bigger, being sued , or it going to collections. Is there a way to find out so I can make sure that's not the case?:confused:
