My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Florida
Alright I was driving out of a community and took a right at the first major intersection throughout the whole time no one was behind me(I regularly check my rear views) then as I was driving east bound after taking the right I moved to take a u-turn but was told not to by my passenger again I checked my rear view and no one was behind me. Then driving more east bound I observed a car on the 2nd lane somewhat behind me that car then switched lanes behind me and from then on I knew he was a cop we both stop at a light I switched lanes to the middle lane and so did he once the light turned green I drove for about 750 feet then he turned on his light. I was driving 40-45 the whole time but at one point did hit 50 with the speed limit being 45. But when he came up to me he stated I was going 62 since the road I was on and only did slow down to 50 then 40 something after I saw he was behind me I called bullshit and told him their is no way I could be speeding I was watching my speed the whole time. He then goes on to say "oh you shouldn't argue against a police officer cause now your going to get a ticket" and goes in his car takes 15 mins come back and hands me the ticket. Now the ticket doesn't have a cost for how much the ticket was or the speed I was "clocked" at instead it just said max speed/municipal and he "pace clocked me" now if max speed/municipal is what I think it is which is me going over the maximum speed limit in my municipal then it's obv a lie as 74 is the max speed in a 45 in my area so now is he trying to say I was going 74 when at first he said I was going 62?
