My question involves child support in the State of: indiana
My husband has been ordered to do a true up provision at the end of each year for my step daughter. Does that mean child support will automatically be raised every year? He only made $3,000 more than the last time they calculated child support and it would only raise child support $9/wk. According to the guidelines, there has to be a 20% increase in order to raise child support. Does this mean a) that he will have to go back for the entire year and pay the difference every year? And b) that it will automatically be raised the $9 for this year? I just don't understand how this would be fair considering it should have to be a 20% increase in order to get it. I understand $9/week isn't much. I am just trying to make sure I am understanding it correctly myself.
Thank you! :-)
